Laura Dannequin

(UK)

Hardy Animal is a tender solo that looks at chronic pain and human resilience. A goodbye letter to a former self and an ode to dance.

Concerned with the human body and its failings, Hardy Animal tells of a dancer’s journey into immobility. It retraces a brutal journey of loss, and hope, and looks at our need to create meaning in a baffling world.

After the performance on Saturday 18 November Groundwork Pro will be hosting a meet and greet with Laura in Chapter's theatre foyer. Click here for details about a special ticket deal for the Groundwork Pro network.

'It is entirely excellent, it’s defiant, and angry and sad and funny and beautiful and brave and just so very very good indeed.'
