Cardiff Dance Festival's Board of Directors were profoundly disappointed to hear the news about the closure of the University of South Wales's BA Dance degree. Course leaders and students have been hugely supportive of each edition of the festival. Click here to read a statement from the Board.

Lots more information now online about our programme for this year. Performances by Jan Martens, National Dance Company Wales, Aby Watson, Rambert2, Rosalind Crisp, Siriol Joyner, Second Hand Dance and Leah Marojević and Theo Clinkard all included. Final events will be announced over the next week. Really looking forward to seeing everyone here.

Dates announced and first events on sale
Delighted to announce CDF19 dates as 8—24 November. First events now on sale - National Dance Company Wales at the Dance House and Rambert2 at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Tickets for Jan Marten's SWEAT BABY SWEAT coming soon too.
Great to have the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama involved as a partner for the first time. Thanks to Chapter, National Dance Company Wales and Wales Millennium Centre for their continuing commitment to the festival.

Good news. We've heard from the Arts Council of Wales that we've secured support towards CDF19 in November. Delighted to be back with a third festival. Information about dates, lead partners and the first events to go on sale will be announced in early July.

BBC Radio Wales Arts Show
Festival launch night tonight and Preethi Athreya and Siriol Joyner are joining Nicola Heywood Thomas on the BBC Radio Wales Arts Show this evening at 6.30pm. Preethi and Siriol are both involved in Interruption, the UK India Year of Culture project we are running in collaboration with Basement 21.
