'For this session you are invited to join my studio practices and dance scores.

'A dance that is materialised inside the body of another, a dance where the codes are switching, a dance that begins with a focus on language, a meditation where you touch another person with love, something invented while in residence with Basement 21, a score that isn’t yet written and isn’t improvised. A lingual event in my mouth, my hip, your eye, that spot in the room.'

Siriol Joyner is a choreographer from Aberystwyth. She is obsessed with language and its relationship with dancing and the material and political implications of this connection.

Siriol is currently pursuing an MFA in Choreography at Stockholm University of the Arts and delighted to be part of Interruption, Cardiff Dance Festival's UK India Year of Culture project with Basement 21.
