Fifty years ago a Welsh village was drowned to make the notorious Tryweryn reservoir. Families were uprooted, land lost, and a Welsh speaking community scarred.
Inspired by the Ghost Dances performed by some of the North American First Nations at the end of the nineteenth century Dawns Ysbrydion offers an engrossing international perspective on the fate of Capel Celyn and its continuing relevance today.
With an all female cast led by Eddie Ladd, Dawns Ysbrydion has been co-directed by Eddie and Montréal choreographer Sarah Williams. It features a live electro score by Y Pencadlys.
